Waking up...

I went through a very difficult experience during which I was in real danger and could have died. And now that I am on the other side it is like I somehow woke up and every day since has felt like a miracle.  I am so profoundly aware of the beauty of it. 

All of it.  

I have always been happy and have had a lot of light in me, but now I am positively incandescent. Lit from within.  Full of profound joy and deep gratitude.

Aware that all of it has been there the whole time and it is me that is just now seeing it. 

And THAT -- that changes EVERYTHING.
