Watching vines...
I was surprised to find that the grapes have already begun to ripen on their vines.
Time seems to scuttle forward like a nervous animal these days. Skittish, it rushes indiscriminately at odd angles.
There is a subtle crispness in the air. The airy breathlessness of summer is slowly giving way to something firmer and more substantial.
I know that it is only a matter of time before the leaves flutter down. Gently bathing the earth beneath them in color. All of these things speak to me softly of letting go.
They remind me to enjoy the dark grapes nestled in close to their woven vines before they too fall away.
